Lancaster Girls' Grammar School (LGGS) is a selective state grammar school with academy status for girls on ''Regent Street'' in Lancaster, England. It first began in order to boost the education of women in the early 1900s and has been doing so ever since. ==About LGGS== LGGS gained Technology College status in 1995, and Language College status in 2007, and has been consistently ranked among the top twenty performing secondary schools in the country. 2008, for example, saw excellent results at GCSE with the percentage of A */A grades at 80%.
